Writing Coach
Writing can be lonely. But you don't have to figure it out on your own.
I find my greatest joy in helping people tell their stories and achieve their writing goals.

For more than ten years, I’ve taught creative writing to hundreds of students as a faculty member at Gotham Writers Workshop. In addition, I’ve coached dozens of writers one-on-one through their individual projects—some all the way to publication.

I love working with passionate writers, as well as with people who simply feel they have a story to tell. Where you are in your creative journey doesn’t matter to me; I’m drawn to the process of helping ideas take shape and stories come alive on the page. Whether you want to strengthen your craft, get unstuck in the middle of a project, finish a manuscript, or grow your platform, I’ve navigated all of those paths myself and would be glad to support you on yours.

I can help with:
-
Overcoming creative blocks
-
Short manuscript critique (short stories, essay, poetry packets, or novel excerpts)
-
Full-length manuscript critique
-
Nonfiction book proposals
-
Developmental editing for early-stage projects
-
Literary journal and magazine publishing guidance
-
Growing an online platform to increase your chances of landing a book deal
-
Ghostwriting personal stories—or those of a loved one—into a memoir
